It’s a normal urban experience - walking into your favourite cafe, ordering your favourite beverage only to wish you could take this exquisite level of coffee-making into your 50 square metre apartment.

Well, you actually can. Italy’s Rocket has already made the espresso machine, the Appartamento and like it’s name suggests, fits well in small spaces like apartments, due to its modest size. While it only has a 274 mm x 425 mm x 360 mm frame, it makes up for it’s tininess in performance. The machine can maneuver like a commercial machine, but with only one E61 group head. In terms of quality such as temperature and overall texture, you will be giving yourself espressos on par with any high-end coffeehouse. While the insides count the most, the outside does matter too. You can choose from either a white or copper circular side panel insert options.

However, your coffee is only as good as your grind. The ground-breaking, new edition to the Rocket family, is the Faustino, the “son” of the hugely popular, professional Fausto. It possesses a modern, sleek design with four body options; Chrome, Matt Black, Appartamento Copper and Appartamento White.

The grinder has 50 mm flat burrs, a stepless adjustment, programmable dosing on a digital display and weighs only 7.6 kg. The Faustino has all the engineering of the Fausto, but brought down to a convenient size. This is why the Faustino and Appartamento are the perfect pair.

Instead of relying on your local barista, picking up an Appartamento and Faustino, will be an investment in great coffee. The equipment will eventually pay for itself after ceasing to buy all those coffees to-go!
